LAVA is hot software.

I created this site to showcase what can be done with open source software. 

LAVALinux is an opensource project based on Ubuntu but is really just a website based on opensource ideas. Unlike Ubuntu, LAVA is just a customized version of Ubuntu which I have tailored for users who want a system alittle more user friendly as well as more functional. After install and using Ubuntu over the last 4 years I found that after install, I would alwasy have to tweak the desktop as well as the conf files to get the performance as well as the behavior to what I and many of my clients would like - this was the main reason I decided to start my LAVA project.

I have created LAVALinux based on Ubuntu and LAVALite based on Xubuntu. Keeping with the opensource spirit I also built a LAVALinux version based on PCLinuxOS gnome edition. The PCLinuxOS Version will be online shortly.

Future projects include

• Rewrite of the Terminal Server client on the server.
• Help Desk tool for remote clients like webex but for linux and windows.
• Increased tutorials on LAVA for users. Since LAVA is based on Ubuntu - most tutorials will work with both.
